Meijer is preparing to open a new supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL. We are seeking an engaged Assistant Store Director to lead the day-to-day operations and develop a high-performing team from day one.

You will oversee operations across food and general merchandise, drive profitability, and ensure customer satisfaction while upholding Meijer's values of care and accountability. Travel for training is required until the store opens.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Overall operations responsibility across food and general merchandise areas.
• Management of planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps.
• Developing and coaching talent within the store to meet staffing needs.
• Drive store profitability, customer service, and sales performance.
• Ensure food safety standards and merchandising standards are followed.
• Travel for training until store opening.
