Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Overnight Stocking Manager for our Normal, IL store. This role leads the stocking team, drives training, coaching, and performance, and collaborates with Leads to manage store operations and financial results.

You will ensure onboarding, safety, and a culture of continuous improvement while developing talent and maintaining service standards. The position emphasizes strategic staffing, process optimization, and leadership development within a large retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members in a way that provides clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members to ensure onboarding, training, development, and feedback.
• Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Discusses performance to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Oversees area operations and financial results; manages budget and P&L items.
• Drives safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Guides Lead roles and assigns daily tasks and training needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
