Meijer Inc. in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL, is opening a brand-new supercenter in Spring 2027 and seeks a Customer Service/Front End Manager to launch the store and lead the team from day one.

You will drive engagement, coaching, and development across team members, while owning area operations and financial results. Travel for training is required until opening, with a comprehensive benefits package and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and make informed decisions.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members in span of care to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching.
• Identifies talent and engages in career discussions to support staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Engages in candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and grow talent within the organization.
• Oversees area operations and financial results by executing corporate plans to maximize sales and productivity.
• Drives safety and compliance and manages store condition and adherence to procedures.
• Leads and assigns daily tasks for Team Leaders and Leads, identifying training needs.
