Meijer is preparing to open our newest supercenter in Glen Carbon/Edwardsville, IL, serving the St. Louis Metro area in Spring 2027. We are seeking an engaged Customer Service / Front End Manager to lead team engagement, coaching, and development across the span of care.

You will drive staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and performance management to maximize sales and ensure exceptional service. The role requires travel for training before store opening, strong leadership, and a commitment to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and use it to make informed decisions.
• Commitment to working safely and maintaining store standards.

Responsibilities

• Engages with team members in span of care to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching and feedback for success.
• Identifies talent and supports career development for staff and leadership roles.
• Conducts candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth within the organization.
• Oversees area operations and financial results, budgeting and productivity to maximize sales.
• Drives safety, compliance, and overall store condition management.
• Guides daily work assignments and training needs for Team Leaders and Leads.
