Job summary

Columbia Housing is seeking a Guest Service Representative to join the Hospitality Desk team. You will deliver excellent service to students, employees, and visitors while handling keys, deposits, and maintenance requests, including overnight shifts.

The role requires overtime and a flexible schedule across 24/7 coverage. You will work as part of a busy team and support administrative tasks, cashiering, and access control within Columbia Housing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years related experience in a high-volume customer service organization.
• Requires strong customer service skills with professional demeanor.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overnights, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Serves as frontline service staff by performing a variety of customer service tasks.
• Assists guests and visitors in obtaining excellent services from Columbia Housing; provides directions and answers questions.
• Enters maintenance requests into the work ticket system and StarRez incident log; handles keys, deposits and late payments.
• Responds to inquiries and maintains high level of service; provides cross-functional services related to Hospitality Desk.
• Processes maintenance requests promptly; maintains records of incidents at the Hospitality Desk.
• Provides administrative support and troubleshooting at the Hospitality Desk; informs students of contractor work and fire drills.
• Performs cashiering duties; runs end-of-shift reports and handles deposits as per policy.
• Grants access to residence halls; maintains key security and handles temporary keys.
• Updates CUID services and performs related tasks per policy; supports 24/7 coverage and emergencies.
