Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Night Auditor to manage front desk operations during the night shift. You will ensure hotel integrity, upsell to generate revenue, and deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining security and daily accounting procedures.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work independently overnight, with familiarization in using hotel systems and office equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months related experience or training preferred.
• Overnight shift requires alertness from 10:00–11:00 pm for eight hours.

Responsibilities

• Balance day shift accounts.
• Welcome guests on arrival and assign rooms.
• Manage front desk activities including check-ins/outs.
• Inform guests about payment methods and verify IDs.
• Register guests with accurate contact details and stay dates.
• Coordinate wake-up calls and guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Respond to guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Prepare invoices, bills and checks for vendors and staff.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for the role and processes.
• Ensure end-of-day activities are completed correctly.
• Answer calls and handle potential bookings inquiries.
• Provide information about rooms, rates and amenities.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready on time.
• Confirm group reservations and arrange special experiences for guests.
