Job summary

The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing revenue and expenses, handling the front desk during the overnight shift, and ensuring a smooth hotel operation at night while delivering courteous service to guests.

This role requires attention to detail, accuracy with financials, proficiency with computer systems and hotel software, and the ability to work independently and communicate clearly with the next shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audit of hotel transactions and balance financials.
• Check guests in and out with proper room assignments and guest requests.
• Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel and local area.
• Prepare and distribute daily reports to management.
• Monitor hotel security during the night and respond to disturbances.
• Process financial transactions including cash handling and card processing.
• Ensure proper communication with the next shift and management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
• Provide wake-up calls and other guest services as needed.
