Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a full-time Emergency Communications Center (ECC) Representative (Dispatcher) in New York, NY to cover the overnight shift (Sunday to Thursday, 10 pm–6 am). You will coordinate dispatch calls, support emergency responses, and maintain accurate records while liaising with partners and volunteers.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of related experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate telephone dispatch with callers including the public, Red Cross staff and emergency responders.
• Coordinate emergency responses and relay critical information.
• Maintain detailed records of services and calls.
