Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimal medical or telecommunications experience preferred, or 1+ year EMS/dispatch experience.
• Excellent reading and writing in English.
• Clear radio and telephone communications ability.
• Accurate data entry and information reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong keyboard typing speed and accuracy.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, record, and manage requests for ambulance assistance and transport.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions as indicated.
• Apply EMS dispatch concepts and protocols per standard guidelines.
• Allocate EMS resources using decision-making rules and approved protocols.
• Maintain complete and accurate paperwork and data entry for the shift.
• Generate and verify applicable reports and ensure data accuracy.
• Assist in locating incident scenes and determining fastest routes.
• Relay instructions and information from supervisors and the emergency system.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and memorandums.
