Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental, physical and psychiatric disabilities. The role involves overnight shifts (11:00pm–9:00am) delivering daily living skills support, supervision and skills training in a home and community setting.

Participants may require physical assistance and specialized interventions; staff may obtain certifications such as PABC or MAP and must pass training.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and agency web apps.
• Ability to drive a large van and hold a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living skills support and training during day, evening and overnight hours.
• Help people develop independence and decision-making abilities.
• Follow regulations and Bridgewell policies in all services and activities.
• Assist with medical, clinical and financial needs as required.
• Transport and accompany clients to activities and appointments.
• Maintain progress notes, checklists and required documentation.
