Job summary

Bridgewell seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living skills coaching and supervision in residential settings. You will support people with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities, execute behavioral and medical interventions as needed, and maintain detailed records across shifts.

Role requires passing specialized training and maintaining certifications such as FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5+ years of verified experience required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy including MS Word/Excel and agency web apps.
• Ability to drive a large/wheelchair van with a valid US license and 1+ year driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide skills training in activities of daily living across shifts.
• Support development of independence and decision making.
• Comply with regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
• Support medical, clinical, and financial needs of clients.
• Transport clients to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain progress notes, checklists, and required documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Conduct steady care calls on overnight shifts.
• Assist with community resources and recreation access.
• Maintain required certifications (FA/CPR, PABC, MAP).
• Attend staff meetings and supervision; perform additional duties.
