Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide support to people with disabilities in residential programs. The role involves overnight and weekend hours (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 11:00pm–9:00am) with responsibilities including skills training, daily living support, and community integration.

Bridgewell emphasizes safety, specialized training, and collaboration with guardians and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5+ years of verified experience in the same position.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people with skills training in activities of daily living during day, evening and overnight hours.
• Create opportunities and provide support to people to develop independence.
• Provide services according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF and Bridgewell policies.
• Administer medications according to MAP regulations as applicable.
• Transport and accompany people to medical, recreational and other activities.
• Maintain daily progress notes and shift documentation.
• Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
• Conduct all steady care calls during awake overnight shifts.
• Assist people in accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.
• Develop positive relationships with guardians and family members.
