Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in residential settings and the community.

You will provide day-to-day supervision, skills training, and support for activities of daily living, while ensuring safety and adherence to regulatory standards. Training in specialized areas such as PABC or ABA may be required, and staff should be prepared for varied shifts including overnights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 5+ years of verified experience in the same position also acceptable.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with skills training in activities of daily living.
• Create opportunities to help individuals develop independence.
• Follow regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies in daily operations.
• Administer medications per MAP regulations where applicable.
• Maintain documentation such as progress notes and shift checklists.
• Conduct steady care calls for awake overnight shifts.
• Assist individuals with accessing community resources and recreational activities.
