Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental, physical, and psychiatric disabilities in residential and community settings. You will provide daily living skills support, supervision, and skill-building within a home environment, with potential specialized trainings in areas like autism or behavioral support.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; 5+ years in same role may substitute.
• Preferred: 1+ year experience working with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and basic web applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people with daily living skills across day/evening/overnight hours.
• Foster independence and decision-making through skills training.
• Follow regulatory standards (DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF) and Bridgewell policies.
• Manage medical, clinical, and financial needs for people in services.
• Transport and accompany clients to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily progress notes and shift documentation.
• Perform light household cleaning and safety checks; oversee medication administration.
