Job summary

Bridgewell is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support to individuals with developmental, physical and psychiatric disabilities in residential settings. You will assist with daily activities, training, and community integration while following regulatory standards and agency policies.

The role requires certification training, valid driver’s license, and ability to work Sundays and Saturdays with overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication; clear documentation.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based agency applications.
• Valid US driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience; ability to drive a large van.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people in daily living skills during day, evening and overnight hours.
• Help people develop independence by creating opportunities and facilitating decisions.
• Follow regulatory standards (DDS/DMH/MassHealth/HUD/DPH/CARF) and Bridgewell policies.
• Assist with medical, clinical, and financial needs for people in services.
• Transport and accompany people to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
• Maintain daily progress notes and shift documentation according to standards.
