Job summary

Bridgewell seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental, physical and psychiatric disabilities in residential and community settings. You’ll provide daily living support, skills training, and behavior-related interventions while maintaining safety and documentation.

The role includes day-to-day interaction with guardians and staff, specialized training and certifications, and adherence to agency policies. Schedule includes evenings and overnights at multiple addresses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or at least 5+ years of verified experience in the same position is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people with daily living skills during day, evening and/or overnight hours.
• Create opportunities for independence and decision making.
• Follow regulatory standards (DDS/DMH/MassHealth/etc.) and Bridgewell policies.
• Support medical, clinical and financial needs of participants.
• Transport and accompany participants to activities and appointments.
• Maintain progress notes, checklists and required documentation.
