Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Night Auditor for the downtown Miami boutique property. You will reconcile cashier transactions, prepare management reports, and ensure accuracy of guest bills and city ledger activities.

You will also assist with check-in, check-out, and reservations while maintaining exceptional guest service. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work late shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
• Guest Service Experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge/skills required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of employees and guests.
• Must be able to listen, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Must show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile hotel cashier transactions and ensure accuracy of guest billings and city ledger.
• Communicate concerns to management and perform guest service agent duties as required.
• Check-in and check-out guests and handle reservations.
• Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
• Prepare and distribute daily, month-end, and reports as required.
• Audit, reconcile, and transmit all credit card transactions timely.
• Maintain accuracy of numbers and data across systems.
• Input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
