Job summary

Meijer, a family‑owned retailer, is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement across the span of care. You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, ensure onboarding and coaching, and align operations with budget and P&L targets to maximize sales.

With a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 4+ years in retail or customer service, you will guide talent discussions, uphold safety standards, and promote an inclusive culture across several states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
• Commitment to safety and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to ensure onboarding, training, and coaching.
• Identify talent and plan career development for staffing and leadership roles.
• Conduct candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Oversee area operations and financial results, including budget and P&L items.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Direct Leads and Team Leaders in daily assignments and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
