Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman to support construction, repair and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew under the Foreman, performing essential tasks in outdoor field environments and during outages or emergencies.

This role emphasizes safety, physical stamina, and readiness to travel and work hours outside the standard schedule. Training and progression opportunities exist within a hard-working, safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; must obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work at out-of-state locations when needed.
• Willing to work non‑traditional hours including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Help install/rebuild poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Participate in outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
• Follow PPE safety protocols and communicate using hand signals.
