Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is hiring a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the team under the Foreman and contribute to safe, reliable power delivery.

The role involves outdoor work in all weather, travel as needed, and a strong emphasis on following PPE and safety protocols. Physical exertion is a regular part of the job, and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use.
• Inspect PPE and rubber goods.
• Understand when to wear PPE.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
