Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct, repair and maintain overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized lines, travel to various job sites, and report to the Foreman. Safety is emphasized as you lead crews, train apprentices, and perform live-line work.

Requirements include five years of overhead line experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to travel, work overtime, and lift up to 50 pounds. Out-of-state assignments and out-of-hours work are possible.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, weekends, holidays and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in supervisor's absence; conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install/repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, and hardware.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
