Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. The role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, traveling to different job sites, and reporting to the Foreman. Safety training, live-line work, and use of bucket trucks and other equipment are essential.

Five years of overhead line experience and a valid CDL are required. Ability to travel long distances, work outside normal hours, and endure demanding conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work out-of-state assignments and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-sticks techniques; troubleshoot faults.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and other equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and respond to outages and emergencies.
