Job summary

Pike Electric is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems with a strong focus on safety. You may work energized lines and travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, reporting to the Foreman.

You will lead crews in the absence of supervision, perform live-line work, and train apprentices while installing and maintaining lines, poles and hardware. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience, a CDL, and be willing to travel and work

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience is required.
• Valid CDL is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions with safety as priority.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles and related hardware.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
