Job summary

Pike Electric is seeking a Class A Lineman to safely build and repair overhead distribution systems on energized and de‑energized lines. You will lead crews in absence of supervision and train apprentices, while installing hardware and performing live‑line work with proper PPE.

Five years of overhead line experience and a valid CDL are required. Willingness to travel long distances and work irregular hours including outages is essential.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid CDL license required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Experience with live-line work and hot-sticking techniques.
• Ability to lead crew when supervisor is unavailable, and train others.
• Proficient in safety protocols and personal protective equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems on energized and de‑energized lines.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Perform live‑line work using gloving and hot‑stick techniques; troubleshoot faults.
• Travel to job sites, including out‑of‑state locations, as needed.
