Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You’ll work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various sites and report to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include leading crews, mentoring apprentices, installing hardware, and performing live-line work with safe, tested techniques. CDL is required; weekend/on-call work is common.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours.
• Willing to work outages, storms, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Operate bucket trucks and other line equipment; climb structures.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and respond to outages.
