Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Lineman – B Class for on-site work in Clay, KY. Responsibilities include working energized/de-energized lines, pole setting, wire stringing, and safety on diverse job sites.

Requires 2–3 years of experience, a valid CDL A with clean MVR, OSHA 10 within 60 days, and willingness to overtime and storm work. 40–60 hours weekly with outdoor, year-round duties.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of lineman experience or equivalent hours.
• Valid State Driver License and CDL Class A with current medical card.
• OSHA 10-hour Safety Training within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work outdoors in diverse terrain and all weather conditions.
• Willingness to overtime and storm work.
• Criminal and MVR background checks and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Climb poles and work on energized and de-energized lines.
• Dig holes and set poles, string wire, and connect transformers.
• Operate service truck and maintain tools and equipment.
• Respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and other public works tasks.
• Maintain safety standards and report hazards to foreman.
