Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC seeks an Overhead Distribution Lineman–C Class to join our field crew in Kentucky. The role entails working on de-energized lines, placing poles, stringing wire, and installing distribution equipment across varied weather and terrain.

Requirements include 1–2 years of experience, a valid State Driver License, Class A CDL with medical card, and completion of OSHA 10 within 60 days. Travel and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State Driver License.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
• Criminal and MVR background checks and a pre-employment drug screen are required.
• OSHA 10-hour Safety Training must be completed within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Ability to climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Operate service trucks and string wires on construction or repairs.
• Digs holes, sets poles, and connects transformers and distribution equipment.
• Maintain tools and respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new service.
• Stand on-call after hours as needed.
