Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) is seeking an On-site Overhead Distribution Lineman - A Class for our Clay, KY area. The role involves working energized/de-energized lines, reading meters, following safety protocols, and supporting circuit maintenance.

Required: four years of experience or equivalent hours, valid Kentucky driver license, Class A CDL with medical card, OSHA 10, and ability to travel for training. Lifting and climbing poles, and operating heavy equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess math skills along with basic knowledge of PMP and Electrical Theory.
• Ability to climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to read and record data from meter dials and operate service trucks.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of electrical line work methods and equipment.
• Follow safety precautions to prevent hazards and injuries.
• Digs holes, sets poles, strings wire, and installs transformers and distribution equipment.
• Responds to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, and new service requests.
