Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) seeks an Overhead Distribution Lineman – B Class to lead groundman and linemen on energized and de-energized lines in Kentucky. This full-time, on-site role requires practical field experience and a commitment to safety.

You will climb poles, string wire, set transformers, and respond to work orders while maintaining equipment and following safety procedures. The position calls for 2–3 years of experience, CDL, and ability to travel for storm work.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of electrical line work experience.
• Experience with energized and de-energized line procedures.
• Ability to read meter dials and record data.
• Must pass criminal/MVR background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of electrical line work methods, practices and equipment.
• Climb poles and perform duties in various weather conditions.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Work with customers and operate service trucks and equipment.
• Set poles, string wire, install transformers and distribution equipment.
