Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC in Pikeville, KY seeks an experienced Class B OH Distribution Lineman to join our on-site team. The role covers overhead distribution work, groundman duties, and energized line tasks, with safety as a core priority.

You will climb poles, trench and set poles, string wire, install transformers, and perform repair work on distribution equipment. A valid CDL Class A, clean MVR, and OSHA 10 are required, along with willingness to OT and travel for storm-related projects.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in electrical line work.
• Must have a valid State Driver License and a clean driving record.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.

Responsibilities

• Know methods and equipment used in electrical line work.
• Follow safety precautions and work safely in all weather.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in varying conditions.
• Read and record data from meter dials accurately.
• Operate service truck and related equipment.
• Repair and string wire on new construction or repairs.
