Job summary

BDO is seeking a Manager, Outsourced Finance & Accounting to lead Government Contracting engagements, managing end-to-end finance outsourcing for multiple clients. You will oversee staff, review work products, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and drive portfolio profitability while building trusted client relationships.

The role requires 6+ years of accounting leadership in GovCon, CPA preferred, strong knowledge of FAR/CAS and ERP systems like Deltek Costpoint or Unanet.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Six+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years leading accounting teams in GovCon.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full close processes (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and GAAP-compliant statements.
• Ensure revenue recognition, contract accounting, and policy compliance per GovCon rules.
• Ensure FAR, CAS, DCAA compliance and maintain a DCAA-compliant system.
• Oversee indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, and forward pricing support.
• Manage project setup, funding, labor charging, invoicing, cost allocations and project closeout.
• Monitor funding, financial performance and costs to ensure profitability.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis.
