Job summary

Baker Tilly is hiring a Payroll Specialist in the United States to manage client payrolls end-to-end, ensure data accuracy, and deliver timely, compliant payroll services. You will consult with clients, support implementation activities, and train users on payroll processes while maintaining confidentiality and high service standards.

The role requires 3+ years of payroll experience, familiarity with ADP RUN, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3 yrs relevant payroll experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in lieu of degree.
• CPP preferred.
• Experience with ADP RUN software and implementation experience.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately and professionally communicates with all levels.
• Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Client Service & Deliverables: Ensure payroll information accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and process payrolls timely.
• Prepare reports of employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer’s contribution.
• Establish strong client relationships by consulting on payroll matters.
• Maintain confidential employee data and precise communication.
• Provide technical software support to clients and identify out of scope work.
• Identify opportunities to expand services to clients.
• Implementation & Technology: Support implementation team and interview clients to gather needs.
• Manage new client implementations ensuring timely completion and satisfaction.
• Train clients on payroll processes as necessary.
• Individual and Team Development: mentor new hires and share knowledge.
• Research and maintenance: stay updated on ADP platforms and laws.
