Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an outside sales professional in the Madison, WI area to drive growth in our corrugated packaging solutions. You will secure and maintain distribution, negotiate pricing, and manage strategic customer relationships within a defined territory.

You will collaborate with design and operations to deliver value, meet sales goals, and contribute to a culture built on respect, integrity, and performance across PCA’s national footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of outside sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record for the last 3 years.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, manage time, and be committed to individual and team’s success.

Responsibilities

• Achieves sales goals and executes sales plans within an assigned territory and/or account, with new or existing business.
• Secures and maintains distribution of products and/or services, providing pricing, negotiating, and maintaining effective sales agreements.
• Creates, monitors, and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
• Satisfies existing customer needs and expands existing business by fostering and maintaining customer relationships.
• Coordinates with design department to improve existing design and develops new designs.
• Reviews opportunities and problems, and the efficiency of existing procedures with sales manager and recommends opportunities for improvements.
• Responsible for overall account management, including recordkeeping, forecasts, budgets and credit collections from delinquent accounts.
