Job summary

United Rentals in Renton, WA is seeking an Outside Sales Rep in the Power/HVAC division to rent and sell turnkey power supply and climate control solutions, including silenced diesel generators and air-conditioning equipment. You will be the voice and first contact, building relationships with new and existing customers.

You’ll conduct site assessments with technical staff, size and quote projects, write professional quotes, and provide demonstrations and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; strong sales acumen and proven achievement acceptable.
• Strong ability to sell complex products and customer solutions.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Increase revenue for the branch by understanding specialty equipment and providing quality customer service.
• Establish new rental accounts via phone and in-person visits.
• Present turnkey services and conduct formal sales presentations.
• Work with technical staff to provide site assessments, solutions, quotes, and problem resolution.
• Educate customers on equipment and other services offered by United Rentals.
• Follow up on invoices and payments and report sales activity.
• Assist operations staff as needed and utilize Salesforce and other tools.
