Job summary

United Rentals is a leading equipment rental provider seeking an Outside Sales Rep in the Power/HVAC division. You will be the voice and first contact for customers, renting and selling silenced diesel generators and climate control solutions.

You will leverage sales and consultative skills to understand client needs and convert them into loyal customers. You will establish new accounts, present a full range of services, and work with technical staff to size, quote, and plan projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
3 years of sales experience required.
Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; strong sales acumen and track record will be considered.
Strong negotiation and selling skills plus excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Increase branch revenue through quality customer service and product knowledge of specialty engineered rental products.
Establish new rental accounts via phone and in-person visits.
Present turnkey services to potential customers.
Work with technical staff to provide site assessments and quotes.
Provide existing accounts with information on other United Rentals products and services.
Give formal sales presentations to customers.
Educate customers on equipment via demonstrations and training sessions.
Follow up with customers on invoices and payments; report activity in Salesforce.
