Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Rep in the Power/HVAC division. You will be the first point of contact, renting and selling turnkey power and climate control solutions including silenced diesel generators and air‑conditioning equipment.

You’ll build new accounts, present services, size quotes, and work with technical staff to deliver site assessments and plans. A base salary with commissions applies, plus onboarding incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; strong sales acumen.
• Ability to size, quote, install and maintain small to moderately complex projects.
• Strong negotiation, selling and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenue for the branch through quality customer service and product knowledge.
• Establish new rental accounts through phone calls and in‑person visits.
• Present a full range of turnkey services to customers.
• Provide customers with job site assessments and quote writing.
• Educate customers on equipment through demonstrations and training sessions.
• Report sales activity using Salesforce and other tools.
