Job summary

United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Outside Sales Rep in the Power/HVAC division. You will drive revenue by selling silenced diesel generators and climate control solutions, build relationships, and educate customers on equipment and services.

You will present turnkey services, size projects, prepare quotes, and follow through with credit authorization support. A base salary plus monthly commissions with onboarding incentives are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; comparable industry experience ok.
• Ability to sell complex solutions and provide customer-focused service.
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenue for the branch through quality customer service and knowledge of rental products.
• Establish new rental accounts via phone calls and in-person visits.
• Present a full range of turnkey services to customers.
• Collaborate with technical staff for site assessments, sizing, quotes, and problem resolution.
• Inform existing accounts about other United Rentals products and services.
• Give formal sales presentations and educate customers through demonstrations.
