Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in the Power/HVAC division to be the voice and first contact for customers.

You will rent and sell specialty engineered power supply and climate control solutions, such as silenced diesel generators and air-conditioning equipment, using consultative sales to convert interest into loyal customers. You’ll increase branch revenue through quality service, establish new accounts, and present a full range of services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of sales experience.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; strong sales acumen and achievement record welcomed.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenue for the branch through quality customer service and understanding of specialty equipment.
• Establish new rental accounts through phone calls and in-person visits.
• Present a full range of turnkey services to potential customers.
• Work with technical staff to provide job site assessments, solutions, sizing, quotes, and problem resolution.
• Provide existing accounts with information on other United Rentals products and services.
• Give formal sales presentations to customers and educate them on equipment.
