Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking an outside sales professional to grow our footprint in an assigned territory. We are an ideas and solutions company with a golden rule culture, helping customers package, transport and display products of all kinds.

Key responsibilities include achieving sales goals, securing distribution, negotiating pricing and agreements, generating leads, and coordinating with design to improve customer solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3–5 years outside sales with a proven record of success.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, be self-motivated and manage time effectively.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in negotiating sales agreements.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record for the last 3 years for a company vehicle or reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Achieves sales goals and executes plans within an assigned territory and/or account.
• Secures and maintains distribution of products and services, including pricing and negotiating sales agreements.
• Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to build a substantive sales pipeline.
• Satisfies customer needs and expands existing business by maintaining relationships.
• Coordinates with design to improve existing designs and develop new designs.
• Reviews opportunities and processes with sales manager and suggests improvements.
• Manages account activities including recordkeeping, credit applications, forecasts and collections where applicable.
