Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative (Commercial/Multi-Family) in North Carolina. You will develop relationships with contractors and builders, sell a full line of building materials and installed services, and manage the ongoing project relationship from quote to delivery.

Responsibilities include site visits, updating customer data, reading blueprints, and creating material takes-offs. Salary is base plus commission with strong earning potential.

Qualifications

• Commercial/Multi-Family sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Sell full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage the job and maintain relationships after a sale.
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain customer information & trends.
• Collect and update customer product usage data and communicate needs to teams.
