Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders and remodelers in North Carolina. You’ll sell our full line of building materials and installed services, visit job sites, prepare estimates, and manage ongoing accounts to grow revenue.

Expect a commission‑based earnings model with uncapped upside. Strong communication, planning, and knowledge of home building basics are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required.

Responsabilités

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services.
• Find and complete sales with local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage the job and relationship after sale, collect up-to-date customer data.
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain schedules.
