Qualifications

• Outside sales experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Knowledge of lumber, building materials, construction products, or related industries is valued.
• Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while pursuing new business opportunities.
• Prospect and generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, and business development activities.
• Assess customer needs and recommend products and solutions that help achieve project goals.
• Represent the company throughout the sales process by gathering information on customer requirements and design needs.
• Prepare and negotiate sales proposals and contracts for residential and construction projects.
• Deliver impactful sales presentations and product demonstrations to current and prospective customers.
• Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
• Educate customers on company products, services, and value-added solutions.
• Resolve customer concerns and assist in troubleshooting field issues when needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and successful project execution.
