Job summary

Kight Home Center, a division of Carter Lumber, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and nurture relationships with local contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage each sale's lifecycle, and maintain accurate account information.

Salary plus commission offers uncapped earning potential as you grow your customer base and contribute to our market leadership in the Tennessee area.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales in the building materials industry.
• Knowledge of home building basics is required.
• Ability to create material estimates/quotes and process special orders.
• Ability to open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Ability to read blueprints and provide material take-off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills are needed.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend trade and builder events as required.

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage each sale after it is closed, including customer relationship management.
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain schedules.
• Keep customer information up to date and provide accurate take-offs when needed.
• Use proven sales strategies and maintain strong communication to ensure repeat business.
