Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, visit job sites as needed, and manage each project from quote to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales
• Knowledge of home building basics
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists
• Ability to work independently
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required

Responsibilities

• Find and complete sales of our full line of building materials and installed services with local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage the sold job and relationship, collect and update customer information on product use and trends.
• Visit job sites as needed, maintain schedules, and respond to issues to prevent delays.
