Job summary

Kight Home Center, a division of Carter Lumber, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage ongoing projects, and visit job sites as needed.

Salary is augmented by a commission structure with unlimited potential, reflecting your success in growing accounts and driving repeat business for a multi-brand, national company.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales
• Knowledge of home building basics
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists
• Ability to work independently
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers
• Manage each sold job and relationship, collect and maintain customer information on product use and trends
• Visit job sites as needed and coordinate with yard and dispatch offices
