Job summary

Kight Home Center (a division of Carter Lumber) is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Tennessee. You will build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and remodelers while selling our full line of building materials and installed services, managing each project from sale to completion.

You will visit job sites, gather product usage information, prepare estimates, read blueprints, and coordinate with yard and dispatch.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales required.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Sell and manage full line of building materials and installed services.
• Visit job sites as needed and manage relationships with contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Maintain up-to-date information on customers’ product use and trends, schedules, and project status.
• Communicate effectively across departments to ensure project success.
