Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Savannah, GA to build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, and then manage the job and relationship through completion.

Responsibilities include visiting job sites, reading blueprints, preparing quotes, and expanding accounts. A proven sales background in building materials plus strong communication and planning skills are

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building materials outside sales.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage and nurture the relationship after a sale through completion.
• Visit job sites as needed and keep customer information up to date.
