Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring an Outside Sales Representative in the Savannah area. You will build and maintain relationships with contractors and builders, sell our full line of building materials and services, and manage accounts with ongoing communication and site visits.

Salary is plus commission with uncapped earning potential. You will need 5+ years in exterior sales, blueprint reading, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building materials outside sales
• Knowledge of home building basics
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists
• Ability to work independently
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers
• Manage the job and relationship after a sale and collect customer information
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain schedules
• Use proven sales strategies and maintain constant communication
• Attend industry functions as required
