White Cap is hiring immediately for our Account Manager – Accelerated Sales Program in Parsippany, New Jersey. This program fast-tracks outside sales professionals into White Cap’s sales organization, with classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to develop relationships, account plans, and product knowledge.

As an Account Manager in the accelerated track, you will learn to ride along with District Sales Managers, enter orders, sell the value proposition, and contribute to meeting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members.
• Requires self-governance, a proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence.
• Competitive nature with a drive to succeed.
• Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participates in classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to learn the White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
• Prepares and executes account plans.
• Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
• Learns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
• Enters and processes customer orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
