Job summary

White Cap is hiring for an Account Manager – Accelerated Sales Program in Portsmouth, NH. The program trains outside sales representatives through a 6–12 month track with hands-on field exposure, classroom learning, and mentorship from sales leaders.

Participants will learn the White Cap business model, develop customer and vendor relationships, and grow skills in sales calls, order processing, and account planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or one to two years of sales or related field experience.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members.
• Requires strong self-governance, a proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence.
• Competitive nature with a drive to succeed.
• Goal-oriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics.
• Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Participates in classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to learn White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
• Prepares and executes account plans.
• Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
• Learns about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
• Enters and processes customer orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
